RBS London team to develop China links

Royal Bank of Scotland has formed a London-based team which will focus on helping European and Chinese companies tap into each other’s markets.

The move comes amid a drive to boost London’s role as a key offshore trading hub for China’s yuan currency.

RBS said yesterday that Janet Ming would move from Shanghai to London and head up its new China desk. It added: “As the UK seeks to develop London as an offshore renminbi trading hub, RBS’ expertise in this area will add great value to its clients in Europe and China.”
