Mike Jones takes the helm at Scottish Widows Bank
Mike Jones: Appointed managing director of Scottish Widows Bank
Scottish Widows Bank has appointed Mike Jones as managing director following the relaunch of its mortgage business.
He replaces Graeme Hartop, who was last month named managing director of Scoban, the fledgling private bank led by former Adam & Co chairman Ray Entwistle.
Jones, who will retain his current role of director of intermediaries at parent company Lloyds Banking Group, said the Edinburgh-based bank was reducing mortgage rates by up to 0.5 per cent and would be launching a suite of fixed-rate and tracker products.
He added: “There is a segment of the home-buying public that have specific requirements from their mortgage and we plan to offer competitive rates in this segment.”
