Chairman at Widows quits
THE chairman of Scottish Widows, Gavin Gemmell, is to step down on October 1 and be replaced by Lord Leitch.
The insurer's parent company, Lloyds TSB, announced the appointment, saying that Mr Gemmell had made a "significant contribution" to the company in over 20 years of service.
Archie Kane, Widows' chief executive, said Lord Leitch, who joined the Lloyds TSB board in 2005, will provide "a wealth of business expertise."
