Barclays takes small step for new firms
BARCLAYS Bank has launched a competition to award £500,000 to Britain's best new business ideas.
The "One Small Step" campaign is looking for ten up-and-coming UK businesses which will each receive 50,000.
The competition will be spearheaded by entrepreneur Julie Meyer, founder of Ariadne Capital. A panel of judges will come up with a shortlist of 30 business ideas with the winners chosen by public vote.
The Barclays Business Bus and seminar programme in support of the campaign comes to the Glasgow Science Centre on 13 May.
