Balfour Beatty in £24m PPP deals
UK INFRASTRUCTURE company Balfour Beatty has sold its stake in two Scottish projects to AMP Capital Investors, the Australian wealth management company, for £24.3 million.
The deal covers a 23.9 per cent stake in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary Public Private Partnership (PPP) concession, where Balfour will retain a 50 per cent stake. It also covers its entire 50 per cent interest in the Aberdeen Waste Water PPP concession.
The firm said the sale would generate a profit of around 21m, which "demonstrates the quality of Balfour's PPP investments".
