BA and unions continue talks
TALKS between British Airways and unions aiming to avert a summer strike over cost savings at the airline are continuing.
BA reportedly wants staff to accept a two-year pay freeze and the company is looking for 3,000 redundancies among crew and administrative staff.
The airline recently asked staff to work for nothing for a month. BA is also pushing for changes in working conditions.
The Unite and GMB unions have said they are seeking "a mutually acceptable way which protects the interests of our members, loyal BA customers, investors and the company."
