Asco confirms oil giant contracts
ASCO, the Aberdeen-based logistics firm, yesterday revealed that it had won £40 million worth of contracts from BP and Talisman Energy.
The deals - which were signed by the firm's Norwegian operations - cover the supply of logistics and personnel, including offshore containers, transport and waste management.
Runar Hatletvedt, Asco's managing director of northern Europe, said: "Both BP and Talisman are very important customers to us and we are delighted they have shown confidence in us by awarding these contracts. As well as securing 50 to 60 jobs, this also provides the basis for possible future investments".
