24 firms benefit from £7m regional grants

SCOTTISH Enterprise has handed out £7 million in regional selective assistance (RSA) grants in the past three months, according to a report published yesterday.

A total of 24 firms received funding, creating 534 jobs and safeguarding a further 283.

Manufacturing companies were the biggest beneficiaries, with 15 firms receiving 4.5m to create 272 posts and safeguard a further 258 jobs.

Regionally, Ayrshire and Fife were the two biggest winners from RSA grants.
