British Energy offers 'too low'

BRITISH Energy said yesterday it would continue talking to interested parties despite warning that it had received no takeover bids above its current share price.
The East Kilbride-headquartered nuclear operator is mulling several bids, but said the proposals received so far "do not represent value for shareholders" as they fail to reflect both the current strong price for energy and the value of its sites as part of the development of the next generation of UK nuclear stations.
