EDINBURGH'S Academy of Music & Sound has awarded more places on the BTEC courses fully funded through Telford College starting in September.
Since opening in April 2006, the college has increased its student numbers from the initial 18 to 90 places on its instrument specific courses.

Students recently held a gig at Studio 24, raising more than £670 for the Forth One Cash for Kids charity.

Academy of Music & Sound's Centre Manager, Jonathan Tait said: "The Academy of Music & Sound is really proud of the students' hard work – the gig was a fantastic success and we are delighted to be able to donate to such a worthy cause. We've spent all summer making the course and our Grassmarket facilities even better for the students and can't wait to welcome them to The Academy in September."
