A MAJOR solo exhibition by promising young artist Lucy Skaer is due to open at the Fruitmarket Gallery.
It will show how her work, which features photographs from newspapers and books, pictures sourced from the internet, paintings and sculptures by other artists, has developed since 2001.

The Scottish artist's large-scale drawings, sculpture and films are beginning to bring her international acclaim.

The new exhibition at the Market Street venue, which opens on May 19, will feature Drawings dating from 2001 to 2008, alongside the film Flash in the Metropolitan, and the installation Leonora, which has not yet been seen in this country.
