COMEDIAN David O'Doherty has three Edinburgh shows: his own solo and a midnight foursome at the Stand, as well as a children's show, I Can't Sleep, at the Assembly.
Yesterday, as his if.comedy nomination went public, four elderly Scots, with a pint in each hand, joined the screaming children. "They stuck the whole thing out and were very polite," he said.
