ANDY MURRAY believes Wimbledon will provide an inspirational setting for Great Britain's Davis Cup tie against Austria.
The All England Club was today set to host the first day's play of the World Group relegation play-off.
"There will be great support with 9000 expected to come each day so I'll have to play really well," Murray said. "I've played some of my best m
atches at Wimbledon. The match against Richard Gasquet this year was pretty special, coming back from two sets down. The support that I've had in previous years against guys likes Andy Roddick and David Nalbandian has made this a special place for me. Wimbledon is the most prestigious venue in the world."
Britain enter the tie as favourites but team captain John Lloyd is refusing to underestimate Austria, despite their lack of household names.
"We don't think it's going to be easy. Austria have been in the World Group since 2003.
"They know what they're doing at Davis Cup level," Lloyd added.
"To be in the World Group for that many years straight through is a tremendous achievement and we obviously have a lot of respect for them. We feel very confident and are ready for it, but we don't underestimate in any way who we're playing."
