Excess booze drive is a hit

AN initiative aimed at advising women against the dangers of drinking to excess has been hailed a success.
The Boozy Betty campaign, launched by the Action on Alcohol and Drugs in Edinburgh team and Heriot-Watt University, in September last year, has undergone an evaluation.
The initiative has now been formally endorsed by the National Union of Students Scotland to be promoted throughout Scottish universities and colleges.
The findings showed that more than half of female students said the resources made them reflect on their drinking.
