Nimrod families set to sue government

RELATIVES of some of the 14 servicemen killed when their RAF Nimrod plane exploded in Afghanistan will take legal action against the government, their barrister said last night.
A writ will be served on the Defence Secretary, Des Browne, today accusing the Ministry of Defence of negligence, failing to minimise risk and a breach of the right to life in relation to the accident in September 2006.
