DAVID Weir thought he had ended Great Britain's wait for an athletics gold medal at the Paralympics Games with victory in the men's T54 800 metres in Beijing.
However, a late appeal by the Australians means the event will be rerun. The appeal was accepted because the lane orders were wrong on the start list. Wheelchair racer Weir, 29, from Surrey, led from start to finish but will have to do it all again on Tuesday.
Britain's cycling dominance continued as David Stone (mixed individual road race) and Darren Kenny (men's individual road-race) both struck gold.
