Ilco claims he rejected offer from Hearts

MACEDONIAN international striker Ilco Naumoski is expected to join Spanish club Almeria after claiming he rejected an offer from Hearts.

The 25-year-old is due to leave his Austrian club, SV Mattersburg, and revealed earlier this week that Tynecastle officials had offered him a contract. However, he is now favouring a move to Spain.

Naumoski, who scored Macedonia's winning goal against Scotland in Skopje last year, was reported as saying: "I am disappointed at the offer from Hearts. It was unacceptable."

Csaba Laszlo, the Hearts manager, is in the market for a striker as he looks to reinforce attacking options for next season.

He has also been linked with a move for the former Dundee United forward Warren Feeney, who recently held talks with Leeds United.

German midfielder Tibor Heber continues on trial at Riccarton, where he is being assessed by Laszlo and his coaching staff. Heber, 23, is an attacking midfielder from Alemannia Aachen II.

Former Hearts midfielder Paul Hartley will sign a two-year deal with Bristol City pending satisfactory medical results. The 32-year-old was told by Celtic boss Tony Mowbray that he has no future at Parkhead and has opted to join former Tynecastle colleagues Jamie McAllister and Lee Johnson at Ashton Gate. Hartley had been courted by Hearts but did not receive a formal contract offer. He rejected terms from Greek club Iraklis Salonika.

Depends what sort of terms he was looking for to be fair. He's not exactly a big name, and doesn't have a fantastic track record / reputation to back up high demands. Last thing we need is another under performer getting paid to much. Laszlo and indeed Romanov are very well aware of this no doubt.

They are selling all the big earners or losing them for nowt like Neilson, Karapidis, Aguiar and replacing them with p!sh on low wages.

Debt reduction is a must as their financial position currently is a joke.

This indicates that what you lot offered him was well short of what he wanted & nothing to do with what league it was in.

I have a feeling that if your clubs ownership is pushing this "low basic" - "High bonus" idea to players it's finding it hard to sell as football players like most of us much prefer kudos in the bank as opposed to gambling.

Just a thought of course.......

Different stratedgy at hearts
Pay players average basic and bump it up to a good wage if we get the results. This means that the non triers are fvcked.
Pay by results will become more widespread, but until that happens - players (especially foreign ones) won't want to come to a club wehere they don't get a large salery even if they cannot be bothered trying. We have had a few of those - WE DON'T NEED ANY MORE.
Players with a poor attitude - Do not apply.
Players wanting loadsa dosh for not giving a 5hit - Do not apply.

But if we're taking a gamble (and that's all we can afford, just like every other SPL club) get somebody who's confident enough in their ability to take the basic+bonus package.
I work in sales, and this is standard practice, everyone knows that giving too high a basic breeds complacency. Need to keep people on their toes.
If we offer a player this and they turn it down, fair enough, move on and find another. Get someone with ability AND desire, one or other is not enough. That's not bad management, it's the polar opposite.

I think some Jambos are missing the point. Yes, Hibs are a "selling club", So were Ajax for many years. I'm not suggesting for a moment that Hibs will reach the heights Ajax did but the past few years have convinced me that great improvements are achievable. First though they must gets all the nuts and bolts in place. Clear the debt, proper training facilities, finish the stadium. In my view they have almost achieved these goals (you Jambos know what goals are; they're what strikers are supposed to score). After that if they keep the youngsters coming through 1 or 2 sales per year will enable them to increase the wage bill. It's not rocket science, and it may not succeed but it guarantees long term survival in these troubled times.

Seemingly Hearts have made an approach to sign Killies Jim Jefferies to partner Nadie up front.
A spokesman for the Tynecastle club has suggested that Jeffries is the ideal partner with the intention of adding speed and flair to the attacking partnership.

The Plan was to have a new stand a buisiness liesure shopping complex an also a hotel with some private apartments.This was put together as one package by the press but its actualy 3 seperate constructions over a period of 3 years starting 2011.It certainly has issues surrounding every part of it but it shouldnt be commented on as a no go till 2012.

Cheers tho noone wants the council involvement in any venture as they take ages to get up an do something.

Why are the yams so stupid.
Everyone in Britain has been laughing at them for years now and still they don't see it.

Well the yams thought Aguar was brilliant, so why did they offer him a contract worth half the wages?

By the way, hibs do similar, i.e basic wage plus good bonuses bonuses for winning, so do all the clubs, funnilly enough yous weren't interested in that, it was all about your basic wage,it's just like the yams, behind the times as usual.

FFC reject?
It's better than a relegated teams cast offs is it not, prob not in the delusional eyes of a yam.
