Call for health chiefs to share sickness data

HEALTH boards should start sharing information on staff sickness to reduce the number of absences of nurses from hospital, a leading union has said.
The Royal College of Nurses Scotland's professional officer Lynn McDowall welcomed news sickness levels were falling but said: "There is often inconsistency between health boards in recording sickness.

"It is important health boards start to systematically record reasons for sickness."
