Olivia Wilkie, 32, home-maker, MacDonald Road: "The kids were amazed, just glued. They were enchanted really. But they're huge fans of Scooby-Doo anyway and we have all the bed covers and toys and things, so to come along and see Scooby live for them was a special treat. They're four and just turned three so the show was just right for them and the pirates weren't scary at all which is what I was most worried about."
Josh Brookes, six, Bruntsfield: "It was good. It was just like the cartoon where Scooby and Shaggy eat and eat and then catch the bad guys. I liked the chases the most and the fights were OK, but no-one got hurt. And there was no Scrappy Doo and he's my dad's favourite. "
Mark Gardiner 43, IT worker, Colinton: "The kids enjoyed it thoroughly but I found it mind-numbingly boring. I just didn't engage with it, I didn't believe they were the characters from the TV show."
Sophie Gardiner, seven, Colinton: "It was great. The Sophie in the show was poo, she wasn't like me."
