Under the Radar

Under the Radar began as a monthly report on Scotland's underground music scene in The Scotsman, written by industry insiders Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon. Read their latest column here.

In late 2008 Nick Mitchell of scotsman.com set up the Under the Radar blog, which has established itself as one of Scotland's most talked-about new music blogs, with band profiles, MP3s, podcasts, gig previews and anything else we think you need to know about.

Music writer Billy Hamilton now co-edits the blog, and we have recruited a team of writers with their ears to the ground of the Scottish music scene. The ultimate purpose of Under the Radar is to give exposure to the best up and coming musical talent in Scotland.

If you want to tell us about your band or gig, or add events to our Gig Guide, contact us at utr.scotsman@gmail.com.
