Beijing to extend Olympic car ban

CHINA'S capital city has announced a year's extension for traffic restrictions aimed at reducing congestion and improving air quality in Beijing. The measures will take a fifth of the city's 3.61 million vehicles off the roads each weekday.
The restrictions were first announced in October.
