Scots prefer train to plane

SCOTTISH holidaymakers are choosing the train over the plane to cut down on stress and anxiety.
Air travel is the least enjoyable way to travel, according to a new survey by National Express East Coast, which runs the Edinburgh to London line.
They found one in five people had chosen to ditch the plane this summer due to worries about delays, lost luggage and extra charges.
More than a third of people are taking their holidays in the UK this summer. Scots are also becoming increasingly aware of the environmental effects of travel.
