Gala 24 - 49 Currie: Pace creates a try feast
Currie snatched the lead in 11 minutes against the run of play when Hamish Bain cut inside for a simple try and Jamie Forbes converted. Gregor Hunter cut the deficit with a penalty before Currie’s Harry Elms was first to a Ben Robbins chip to score.
Gala were rewarded when Edinburgh player, Sasa Tofiklau, sent Ross Coombe over in the left-hand corner and Hunter converted.

Hide AdCurrie stepped up a gear and it was no surprise when Robbins raced in for a score and Forbes kicked a penalty on the stroke of half-time to give his side a 20-10 lead.
After the break, the Gala defence stood firm until a loose pass was intercepted in midfield by Robbins, who raced away for the bonus-point try and Forbes converted.
Gala gave themselves hope when Craig Robertson touched down and Hunter converted t But Currie pressure was relentless and Ross Weston, Robbie Nelson, Thomas Gordon and Charlie Shiel added tries, Forbes converting one. A late Stevie Cairns try and Hunter conversion ended the try feast.
