London 2012 Paralympics: Last-chance medal saloon for Anderson
The 49-year-old, who finished eighth in his first event in the capital, the 100m freestyle, returned to the pool for the 50m backstroke yesterday but narrowly failed to medal. He won his heat to progress to the final as the third fastest however he finished an agonising fourth after a clocking a time of 1:07.30 minutes at the Aquatics Centre.
Anderson now has just the 50m freestyle left in order to add to his impressive Paralympic medal haul which stands at six golds, eight silvers and two bronzes since Barcelona 1992.
