THIS year, Edinburgh Castle has been celebrating Christmas with a re-creation of the fun and frivolity of the 16th century, bringing to life the history of the festive period for all its visitors.
And there’s just a few days left to try out games of yore, such as the rope toss, a favourite of Mary, Queen of Scots (played here by Angela Branney) and her lady-in-waiting (Haileigh Robertson), as well as hearing about the Daft Days – a time of giddiness, mirth and merriment.
The fun continues at Edinburgh Castle until January 2.
