Tesco set to open Princes Street store
TESCO is set to open its first store on Princes Street.
A planning application has been lodged to turn a vacant unit next to RBS at the West End into a Tesco Express.
The supermarket giant is seeking permission from the city council to move into the former Boots shop along with listed building consent.

Hide AdA Sainsbury’s Local store is already due to open on Shandwick Place in the former Habitat store.
It is understood a decision on the Tesco plan will be taken by planning officials in the coming weeks with the application not going before councillors unless objections are raised.
