MP hits out at energy prices
A LOTHIAN MP has hit out at energy companies that post soaring profits while threatening price hikes for customers.
East Lothian MP Fiona O’Donnell raised concerns after a report from Centrica, which owns Scottish Gas, showed profits were up 15 per cent. The firm warned in May that households could see bills rise by £50 this winter.
She said: “The directors of Centrica should think again, but we need action from government to tackle energy prices.”
