The couple were rumoured to be getting married on the island of Santa Catalina off the coast of California, but several marquees were pictured in the grounds of Williams' Los Angeles mansion.
Williams' father, Pete Conway, said: "At last, Rob is happy.
"That's what you want for your kids, and this is the happiest I've seen him.
"Ayda is so beautiful and delightful and so lovely and just so right for him. They are brilliant together."
The Stoke-born star's Take That bandmates - whom he rejoined dramatically last month - are not thought to have flown over for the ceremony. Instead, they reportedly sent a series of messages to be read out.
Los Angeles-based Williams and Field have been together for more than three years since meeting through friends.
