Video: the making of Stornoway black pudding
In this video blog we see how producer Charles MacLeod prepares one of Scotland’s most famous products - Stornoway black pudding. Charles MacLeod’s Stornoway black pudding is produced from a family recipe on the Isle of Lewis and is famous for being a true ‘taste of the islands’. The business was established in 1947 and has been passed down through the generations with the recipe being a very closely kept secret disclosed only to a chosen few.
Stornoway black pudding is one of our country’s most renowned products which enjoys the much coveted PGI status (Protected Geographical Indication) putting it in the same category as produce like Parma Ham or Champagne in terms of quality assurance.
