Beartrap sinks teeth into Asian mobile games market
The Dundee-based firm’s arcade shooting game, Sky Patrol, was released for the Windows Phone platform in August and launched this month for Apple’s iPhone and iPad.
Commercial director Grant Alexander said the company has now teamed up with Japanese publisher Chorus Worldwide to translate the Apple version for gamers in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and Taiwan.

Hide AdHe said: “This is a massive opportunity for us… It was well received at the Tokyo Game Show last year, and it’s due to come out there on Thursday.”
A recent study from Juniper Research found mobile gaming revenues could hit $29 billion (£19.1bn) next year, up more than 38 per cent on 2014. The market in China almost doubled in value to $2.9bn last year, according to Niko Partners.
