T in the Park review: Emeli Sande, Main Stage
It will come as no surprise then that when the Aberdonian walked on to the Main Stage on Friday night, she was greeted by the famous T in the Park roar.
Dressed in spots, stripes and shades, the songstress took to the piano, kicking off a mellow set with Daddy, before belting out Heaven with only the very best of intentions.

Hide AdAfter a strong opening, the pace of the performance dropped a little, with mid-level melodies flying by in a haze of early evening fatigue and dwindling enthusiasm from the crowd.
Just when it seemed that Sandé had graced her piano with one downbeat note too many, she pulled back with audience with a memorable performance of Beneath Your Beautiful. The duet was met by a roar of approval, as the masses sang along to the number one hit.
From that moment on, the crowd seemed content to scream along ‘til the words dried out, as she effortlessly belted out hits such as Clown and Wonder, before finishing on a high note with Next To Me.
Overall, Sandé’s stint at Balado smacked of sentimentality, with the crowd welcoming the Scottish star back to her homeland in style.
“This year has been amazing for me thanks to you guys”, she proclaimed, and with that, the famous roar was back.
