Magazine sacks George Galloway over Julian Assange rape comment
The Scots politician was dropped as a columnist from the publication yesterday as the row deepened over his comments about Assange, who is wanted in Sweden over claims he sexually assaulted two women.
“George Galloway is no longer a columnist for Holyrood magazine and the reasons for that, I would have thought, are fairly obvious,” editor Mady Rhodes said in a statement yesterday.

Hide AdMs Rhodes said that George Galloway had added colour to politics and sparked healthy debates in the past, but said “his recent outpourings about definitions of rape have left me, frankly, gobsmacked”.
