Motorsport: Rockingham road tastes good for Oly
The 27-year-old, driving his Tynecastle Garage-prepared Porsche 911, enjoyed a successful weekend, also claiming also pole position and fastest lap.
"It's been a fantastic weekend," Mortimer, the former multiple British Mini Cooper champ, said. "The first race was tough because it was pouring rain and the track was treacherous. It was also my first time racing on wet tyres, so you can imagine how chuffed I was to not only qualify on pole position, but to win the race and get fastest lap on the final lap."

Hide AdMortimer's second race was even more demanding as he was hounded from start-to-finish by the rival Porsche of championship leader Graeme Munday.
Mortimer, who has won six of the eight races so far this season, heads into the next round at Oulton Park trailing the Englishman by just two points in the race for the title, having entered the weekend five points in arrears.
