It is understood the Englishman, who guided Rangers to the Ladbrokes Championship title and a Scottish Cup appearance this past term, will be rewarded with a deal worth £600,000-a-year.
That would double his current salary, a figure of around £6,000-a-week, which he agreed to last summer when penning a three-year deal to make the move to Ibrox.

Warburton, while linked with other clubs, has always insisted he’s focused on Rangers and has already started rebuilding his squad for next season with Joey Barton penning a two-year deal earlier this week.
