Hide AdGriffiths, who is in the midst of a second loan spell at the Edinburgh club, is contracted to parent club Wolves until the summer.
Despite being told he has no future at Molineux, the 22-year-old striker looks likely to be prevented from staying at Easter Road beyond January.
“We will try to get some money out of it,” Solbakken told the Scottish Sun. “It would be stupid otherwise as he’s out of contract at the end of the season.
“When someone wants something maybe they will get a Christmas gift. So you never know what will happen.
“We will see. But at the moment I don’t know of any other interest in him.”
Griffiths, who joined Wolves from Dundee in 2011 but only made one appearance for the club in his debut season, scored 11 goals in his season at Hibs in the 2011/12 season.
He has bettered his tally already this season, scoring 13 goals in 14 league appearances.
