Hibernian Ladies looking to avenge cup final defeat

Hibernian Ladies FC face the first test of their title ambitions tomorrow when they take on Glasgow City and midfielder Rebecca Zoltie insists her team are ready to inflict a first league defeat on the defending champions for over three years.

The encounter at Petershill Park, Glasgow (kick-off 2.00pm) presents Hibs with an early opportunity to wipe away the painful memory of last season’s Scottish Cup final defeat to the same opponents and Zoltie insists that’s all the motivation her side need.

She said: “This will be the first time we have met one another since the cup final and the hurt of that defeat is still fresh in the back of everyone’s mind.
