Sir Rod Stewart calls for Scott Brown statue and predicts Celtic return within two years
The rock icon has also predicted that Brown will return as Celtic manager in two years time with the 35-year-old preparing to depart the club after 14 years at the end of the season to take up a player-coach role at Aberdeen.
Brown will play his 44th and final Old Firm fixture at Ibrox this afternoon having made more than 400 appearances for Celtic and captained them to sustained success.

And Sir Rod believes the Brown should be immortalised in the same manner as the likes of Brother Walfrid, Jock Stein, Billy McNeil and Jimmy Johnstone with a statue outside the stadium.
"It's so hard to come up with words to describe Scott Brown s time at Celtic," he told Sky Sports. "He's Celtic through and through. He's not only a wonderful player, a wonderfully aggressive player, he's the anchor of Celtic.
"A true soldier, a true Celt. I would hope we'll have a statue maybe outside the stadium for him. I know the guy and he's a lovely fella.
"Well done Scott, I love you mate, and best of luck over at Aberdeen. We'll see you in two years back as manager of Celtic."
