Hide AdMotherwell’s Keith Lasley warns team-mates against Rangers move
Keith Lasley has warned Nicky Law and Chris Humphrey against a move to Third Division Rangers. The midfielder is aware of rumours linking his highly-rated team-mates to Ibrox, but insisted that the chance of playing in Europe and remaining in the SPL should convince them to stay at Fir Park.
“[A] move to a club in Rangers’ position is something they would have to weigh up very carefully. They are a massive club but right now we don’t know what league they will be playing in next season.
“The only league they will not be playing in, most likely, is the top flight. What Nicky and Chris have at Motherwell is a real chance of European football next season.” (Evening Times)
Victor Wanyama fuels Celtic exit rumours
Victor Wanyama called for Celtic’s crestfallen squad to stick together after defeat in Turin sent them out of the Champions League - but suggested that he wasn’t certain whether he would be able to stick around long enough to have another crack at a European run with the club.
“[I don’t know] whether wem will all be together next season. I hope so but no-one knows yet.” (Daily Record)
