Celtic board to vote on SFA Rangers moves at AGM
The motion, brought by a number of shareholders, calls for the club to censure the governing body for what they deem to be favourable treatment given to Rangers after their 2012 meltdown.
The motion reads: “We consider the SFA governance has displayed a disregard for the rules and spirit of fair play, contradicted FIFA, UEFA and SFA mission statements and acted in contravention to the spirit of the rules of fair play outlined in FIFA, UEFA and SFA Rules.”
The Celtic board have written to shareholders ahead of the AGM, dubbing the motion “unnecessary” and urging them to reject it.
Celtic will hold their annual general meeting on 15 November.
