Bo’ness show mettle to defeat Victoria
Bo’ness UNITED twice came from a goal behind to eventually prevail in this Emirates Scottish Junior Cup first-round tie against Ayrshire side Whitletts Victoria.
Whitletts scored in two minutes after Robert Patterson volleyed past Bo’ness keeper Connor Wallace but the home side responded six minutes later. Steven Hislop headed on a Stewart Devine free-kick which Declan McAvoy forced in.

Hide AdTwelve minutes into the second half Whitletts regained the lead with a Robert Patterson penalty. However Steven Hislop headed an equaliser only a minute later.
Bo’ness got themselves in front for the first time in 63 minutes when Nicky Walker side footed a Chris Hamilton cross home. Five minutes later, a Steven Hislop penalty gave Bo’ness a cushion and a Chris Hamilton header in 73 minutes sealed the victory.
