SPFL confirms David Longmuir departure
Longmuir and Neil Doncaster - CEOs of the Scottish Football League and the Scottish Premier League respectively - were the only two candidates in the running for the job with the newly-created organisation.
Doncaster was last week appointed to the role following the merger of Scotland’s two professional leagues.

The new SPFL was finally ratified by Scottish football’s 42 senior clubs following an epic round of talks at Hampden last month.
The new set-up sees the current 12-10-10-10 structure remain, under one organisation, with the introduction of play-offs and a new financial redistribution model.
