Raven Controls scores points with major sporting events
The firm’s real-time incident management tool was used by event managers at this year’s European Tour - British Masters golf tournament, which concluded on Sunday, and is currently in operation at the World Taekwondo Championships, which kicked off yesterday.
The safety and security tool, which is accessible on mobile devices, aims to streamline the previously disjointed process of logging accidents, emergencies and security situations during events.

Hide AdIt allows staff to report situations such as medical incidents without returning to a control room, satisfying health and safety requirements while keeping key figures working in the field.
MD Ian Kerr, who previously worked as a counter terrorism officer, built the software to “bring incident management into the present day”.
It was also used by the organisers of last year’s Ryder Cup Championships in Paris, which marked the technology’s first deployment overseas.
The firm secured £300,000 funding from business angels David Fletcher, Malcolm Jones and Clark Wilson in February, as it aimed to create jobs and expand its in-house software development and sales and marketing functions.
Kerr said: “Raven’s technology provides an accessible digitised solution to manage and record issues relating to safety and security, ensuring everyone across an event’s incident management networks is equipped to handle all scenarios.
“It is crucial for major sporting events to have an effective incident management process in place and our technology can help facilitate this.”
