US Ambassador Christopher Stevens was alive when found
Fahd al-Bakoush, a freelance videographer, was among the Libyan civilians roaming freely through the consulate after gunmen and protesters attacked it last Tuesday night.
Mr Bakoush said he heard someone call out that he had tripped over a body. A group gathered who saw he was alive and a foreigner, though no-one knew who he was. Mr Bakoush said the man was breathing and his eyelids flickered: “He was alive, no doubt.”
