Hide AdIt was alleged at an earlier court appearance that Stokes, 26, had headbutted the Elvis impersonator at the club in the city’s Leeson Street during a row over a spilled drink.
The case was considered too serious to be dealt with by a district court, and the footballer was sent forward for trial before judge and jury at a higher court.
Dublin Circuit Criminal Court today scheduled the trial - expected to last for three days - for May 11.
Stokes, who was born in Dublin, was remanded on continuing bail and excused from a further court appearance this week due to work commitments.
