Wet look for Moonwalkers
Torrential rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the thousands who took part in this year’s Edinburgh Moonwalk.
The annual fundraising event in aid of breast cancer charity Walk the Walk started at Inverleith Park and went on through the night as power walkers wearing elaborate bras did their bit.
And despite some heavy downpours there were few problems, with CEO and founder of Walk the Walk, Nina Barough CBE, saying: “The MoonWalk Edinburgh has definitely been one of the most memorable – not just because of the heavy rain but because we had the most fantastic bra designs I have ever seen in Edinburgh.”
The event had already raised over £600,000 before the start of the night.
