Video: Lifeboat crew rescues dog in Firth of Forth
A lifeboat crew were scrambled to help save a struggling dog in the Firth of Forth yesterday.
Volunteers at the Queensferry RNLI station were called out after the six-year-old black Labrador was seen in difficulty in water near Blackness Castle.
Rescuers located the dog around half a mile from the shore.
The lifeboat crew rescued the dog, who was cold, tired and disoriented, and took her on board.

Hide AdShe was wrapped in a blanket before being returned to her owner at Blackness.
A spokesman for Queensferry RNLI said: “The owner did the correct thing in contacting the Coastguard for assistance rather than entering the water and endangering themselves.”
