Lochaber and Skye police have also emphasised that people should ‘be patient, kind and accommodating’ and that a ‘wee wave helps too’ whilst being mindful of cows and other road users.
To emphasise their message of cow safety, the police posted a video on their Twitter account of a driver stopping – with jazz music audible in the background – to make way for a hairy cow.

Travel restrictions across Scotland eased on April 16 allowing Scots to travel across Scotland for outdoor, small group recreation, socialising or exercise.
However, there is still a ban on staying overnight in a different local authority area.
Yet, on April 26, Monday, there will be unrestricted travel across the whole of the UK as hospitality venues such as cafes, pubs and restaurants will reopen.
All shops, stores, close contact services, gyms, swimming pools and other leisure facilities can reopen on this day as well as tourist accommodation.
Galleries, museums and libraries will also reopen on April 26.
