2 dead as car collides with Newton Stewart bridge
TWO men have died after a car collided with a bridge.
The crash happened on the A747 Glenluce to Glasserton Road at West Barr, Port William, Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway at around 9.20pm yesterday.
An 18-year-old man died at the scene while a 25-year-old was taken to the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer where he later died.
Police appealed for information about the crash, which involved a black Vauxhall Corsa.
The road has been closed for investigations.
