16 children seriously hurt on roads around Edinburgh in last quarter
Nine children were seriously injured on the Capital’s roads during the period while two youngsters were badly hurt in East Lothian and Midlothian and five in West Lothian.
The figures, released by Lothian and Borders Police, showed that 85 children also suffered minor injuries in road accidents.

Hide AdThere were no fatalities among children over the six months.
A total of nine adults were killed on the roads in the Lothians, while 165 sustained serious injuries, 97 of them in Edinburgh.
Another 1048 adults suffered minor injuries over the period. Of these, 590 of the injuries occurred in the city.
