Rise in gripes against police
THE number of complaints made against officers with Lothian and Borders Police has risen by seven per cent, according to new figures.
A total of 660 complaints were recorded by the force between last April and December, compared with 614 for the same period a year before.
Allegations made against officers dropped by one per cent, from 925 to 915.
Police said they worked to ensure concerns were dealt with “professionally and efficiently”.
